Footwear made with the environment in mind

We love the outdoors, and our products are designed for people who love the outdoors, too. To us, the idea of protecting the world we live, work and play in makes perfect sense.

At Kamik, when we say we’re committed to protecting the environment we’re not just making vague promises. Here are the specific processes we put in place more than 20 years ago:

Recycle your Kamiks!

Have a pair of Kamik boots your kids have outgrown? Want to make space for a shiny new pair of your own?

First we’d urge you to find someone else who can use them—our boots are made to last and we’d bet yours are still in good condition. Please consider donating your footwear to your local shelter or charity.

If your Kamiks have truly lived their long life, we’ll happily take them back for recycling. Just wipe them clean and mail them to one of the addresses below.

Note: Kamik boots only, please! See our complete list of recyclable styles.

  • Kamik makes over two million 100% recycled boots per year
  • Kamik boot liners are manufactured using recycled polyester and polypropylene fibres
  • Every product that we make in our injection molding plants in Montreal, QC and Littleton, NH is 100% recyclable
  • Kamik’s injection molding plants use hydro- generated power to run the machines. No fossil fuels are used
  • The machines are cooled with recycled water. A cooling tower on the roof of our plant has a closed-loop distribution system where the water is collected, distributed and recycled and reused
  • Oil used in the hydraulic pumps is filtered, recuperated and reused
  • Boot scraps are collected and reused. Nothing goes to waste
